Have fun at the Stanley for me! I was born and raised in Colorado and loved it. Living in Colorado and hearing about, and possibly even seeing, bigfoot got me interested in cryptozoology. My friend back in Colorado (I live in Las Vegas, NV now) and I spent many nights near Lost Creek Wilderness Area in Pike National Forest outside Colorado Springs searching for signs of bigfoot. We never witnessed what we wanted to, but I can definitely see how an elusive creature could hide out in those mountains!

I am from Denver. I have a been a cryptozoology fan since childhood but I can honestly say that I have never heard of the Colorado Howler. I didn’t know the Avalanche had a mascot let alone one of the cryptic nature. I don’t follow sports much!
I am aware of sightings of Bigfoot in Colorado over the years, heck, even the t.v show Unsolved Mysteries based a show on Bigfoot sightings here in Colorado and that was very exciting for me back then. So if there is a Colorado Howler he doesn’t get much press.
I am excited you will be in Colorado but I can’t make it on such short notice. Estes Park is a beautiful little city. Man I wish I could make it to your talk! Take care.

My family vacationed there almost every year as I was growing up (the park, not the hotel). I’ve never heard of any sightings there. I suspect that Trail Ridge Road has already been closed down. My ‘live’ updated ‘wallpaper’ on my computer shows that they have snow today in the high country. Not further down, but more looks to be coming in over the Divide. It might be bitterly cold higher up, but a little snow can be good for tracking. Maybe some attendees can give you good tips of where to look this time of year.
