It appears the program descriptions were taken directly from MonsterQuest materials, and I've been told that "interview clips" (not actual interviews by CH) are being used.

I took this down and put it up because I have very mixed feelings about this being almost on the level of a teenager's hoax vs a teenager's attempts to create a YouTube program from pre-existing clips.

Some of the show descriptions are very misleading, as the youthful creator has admitted to me in an email exchange he ability to travel is limited.

Jordan is to be commended on his selection of topics, even if they cover those of two shows I have enjoyed, but not been overly-impressed with. (Anyone see the MQ episode this week on giant rats, with the garden variety filling in for their more monstrous cousins?)

My only recommendation is that he follow through and finish what he starts. It is hard to be innovative in this field, unless you got here first. Those places are already taken, several by the founders and contributors to this blog. What I always enjoy most is to see old friends and true experts in the field interviewed, with credible/well-known eyewitnesses interspersed throughout.

You always know that with MQ and DT, nothing truly remarkable has ever been seen by the travelling hosts. Even Animal X suffered this anticlimactic ending weekly. Amateur footage is more compelling, and the heartfelt effort to making a personal contribution is promising.

Here we have a 15 year-old boy who shows more gumption than most, if only in gathering what is already available elsewhere and adding his own commentary. If he has the cooperation of those who are scheduled for interviews or make appearances even in dated footage, I am already looking forward to cryptidhunt.

gooberal - I went to a site that listed the MQ Season 1 episodes, and you are correct. The first several episodes follow in line exactly with the titles for the MQ shows. Every one of the CH shows (except for the last 2 listings) have the same/similar title and fall in about the same order as the MQ Season 1 episodes. I didn't read all the descriptions, but they do sound eerily familiar.

Maybe I spoke too soon in giving props, seems like an ambitious young producer/director would be a little more original and not just "cut and paste" his episode line-up!!!

Loren - No problem, I understand completely. I wasn't comparing it to the other shows in any way, just saying that we'll have something else "cryptid" to watch as well since the "new" episodes of MQ and DT are few and far between and there isn't very much out there in the form of crypto shows to choose from.

Props to the young producer/director for his/her efforts, the show schedule looks interesting. I'll be looking forward to seeing the shows on YouTube.

oh yes, i love what Mr. Coleman said, NOTHING is better than MOSTER QUEST, a low budget filmography project will never stand par with it, yet if the budget was higher, and the fact that they got the great cryptozoologists like Mr.Coleman and the John Green, I'm impressed.

Again thank you Mr.Coleman, i like what you said about encouraging youths about thses creatures and cryptozoology in general. thanks to an encouraging e-mail back from Mr.Coleman i now am starting kryptos a group of youths whom do things in relation directly to cryptozoology, our foundation is on alot of Mr.Coleman's theories. In gerneral we do well, Kta, my partner in crime and co-founder, is more a paracryptozoology major though, making me HAVE to see the other side of things as well as the scientific.

Also thank you darkshines, you are correct, not only the only black panther, and also not only are rods animals, but very easy hoax as well, some people believe they are aliens, pish posh, rods are just realy studic excuses for would be cryptids

:) gotta love that monster quest ...

Uh, has anyone else besides me noticed that the episodes listed are exactly the first season of Monster Quest? The synopsis are the exact with the word CryptidHunt substituting the title Monster Quest. What's up with that?

Do understand this is on YouTube, with much lower productive values, an obviously lower budget, perhaps future copyright problems, and a young producer/director. I posted this to encourage and reinforce youthful cryptozoology efforts. But to compare CH to DT & MQ may be premature, and unfair to all three.
