OK, I admit I’m in a headache-riddled and snarky mood today, but I don’t see anything in the above that gives me confidence this movie will be better than “Zaat - The Walking Catfish.” (There - I just dated myself considerably.)

Darrell Micheal (a pseudonym for two guys, one of them being Sellers, according to twitchfilm.net) has exactly one indy film to his/their credit. James Drydon appears to have NO previous credits, and Sellers is credited as a writer on some direct-to-video schlock. The presence of only one minor “name” performer (Lori Petty) screams “low budget.”

On more promising stuff - I loved the preview issue of the comic. When will it start appearing regularly?

Maybe someone linked to the publicity for the movie will read this, and correct their copy that is posted at IMDb.

The body copy posted here says “reports of a possible “cryptid” - a creature previously discovered by science.”

Shouldn’t that be “previously undiscovered?”

While it bears the same name as the CRYPTID comic book, this film is not in any way connected to it. The comic is still being separately developed as a feature film and video game.
