Treacherous best describes the area around the housing communities down there. When they started to build up in the hills around Los Angeles (to the east) the environmentalists made the contractors set aside land for the purpose of planting "native plants". Well, native to the hills of southern Cali is the kreasote bush (which is highly flammable). The bushes were put in so close and thick that even the deer couldn't get thru. That's why those fires down south are so dangerous. If that was the chimp, his only saving grace is his ability to climb. I do hope someone catches him.

Wow, this is very similar to last year but they were in a gorilla suit.

<a href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2007/02/27/BAGQ2OCEUT6.DTL" rel="nofollow">Gorilla sighted on the Peninsula</a>.

Note, this area has some very wooded area and are off limits to the public. Good enough for a hairy animal with 2 legs.

You can google hwy 280, hwy 92 to see it.
