I assumed, apparently incorrectly, that since the contact person was Loren, he’d authored the press release, or had a role in it. My apologies. They really should run these things by us!

“Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman…says there have been Champ sightings since 1812 and the creature is invariably described as a snake-like creature about 25 feet long and a horse’s head.”

Ouch, an embarrassing gaffe for Loren; I’m sure he is well aware of the fact that Champ is NOT invariably described as snake-like, 25 feet long, and with a horse’s head.

In fact, as I and other writers have noted, there is wide variation in the descriptions of Champ’s size, head shape, and details.
