		<description><![CDATA[See the letter in the July/August 2011 issue of Phactum on pages 5 and 6 by Don Nigroni (http://www.phact.org/data/phactums/Phactum%202011-07.pdf) for an even earlier report of the Cape May Sea Serpent.  This item appeared in The Inquirer and National Gazette, a Philadelphia paper, on December 20, 1844 and said that “Several pilots who approached within a short distance of the monster describe it as 25 feet in length.”  Cape May was formerly called Cape Island.]]></description>
