I hope Pat is doing well and will be back on the “hunt” soon. I’m sure this medical set-back won’t stop him.
I also have a “very fun” ileostomy bag, but mine is a bit more permanent. I have had it for 36 years, ever since I lost my colon.

Bless his heart! I have just discovered the Beast Hunter on cable through Xfinity On Demand, and it’s one of the best shows of all time. I enjoy it so much because he is truly scientific yet not at all jaded about the mysteries of the world.

Best wishes for a complete recovery and many more years of exploration. My husband has to undergo a colon exam every year due to problems with his kidney, and while it is not the most fun thing in the world, it is so worthwhile to know that everything is okay. A friend of ours recently underwent surgery for colon cancer but luckily it was caught in the early stages so he has years left to spend with his young son.

Strength to his arm.

I lost my identical twin brother when he didn’t heed my admonition to get checked. I still have two other siblings, perhaps because both of them did. My next one is next year.

Nothing I have done that’s a hassle is so worth the hassle.
