I didn’t listen to the audio but if they didn’t know what fish it was, they were certainly game to handle the spines! Just brushing the spines of some of Australia’s stonefish is enough to kill you.

Wow, what an interesting creature. I believe Mr.Coleman has got the ID correct with the Triplewart Seadevil. Great name, and quite suitable I think. This appears to be the only species in the genus Cryptopsaras; and again, a very suitably named genus to be discussing here on Cryptomundo. I’m curious to know the meaning of “psaras” in the context of this name.
