And who woulda thunk it? Moreover, how many of us get to have such a distinct point of view? I think my Phillies could have used a little extra help; bugs, pterodactyls, an appearence by mokele-mbembe, ANYTHING. The term Canadian Soldiers is a sort of a generic term, describing several different species of insects which swarm in Spring and sometimes in the Fall, in proximity to Lake Erie. I think the things we saw the other night were "midges", as the true Canadian Soldiers were rather scarce this year. In any event, they bothered both teams equally - the Indians just didn't react as strongly to them as the Yankee players did.
