Chupacabras?!!

Ha, I wonder at what point we crossed such a threshold that we have stopped assuming that animals in ponds in Virginia are anything other than animals local to ponds in Virginia.

My best guess is a beaver, provided the photo is scaled as I assume it's scaled.

Hi, I'm new here. I agree with mystery_man, I don't think its alive. It looks like a deadhead in the water.

The area, to me, looks like either a creek or a pond. And I'd say that's no animal at all. It looks more like a rock sticking up out of the water. I see no turtle, or a duck. Not even a log. Just a rock.

I'm not really convinced that this is even a living creature at all. It looks an awful lot like an outcropping of rock jutting out of the water to me.

Perhaps it is a giant rodent. I have seen those myself swimming in the waters around wheeling west virgina. It looks similar to a capybara

Ummm... Duck. That's what this looks like. But that's not all, folks! If you will, turn your heads sideways and squint hard at the picture!

DWA (and others):

Maybe this does have a benefit:

As our very own Rorscharch-type test!!! We can guess what psychological type each of us is here at Cryptomundo by our reactions to the picture! Weird=how strange we deem THIS as!!!

This is a classic case of someone driving by in a car, snapping a pic and then deciding they have something--photo out of focus, no details other than that it "looks" furry to me, and no size no nothing.

Unfortunately, these are all too common...which is why Cryptomundo is here...to take apart these photos and footages and dissect them down to what's plausible and what's not.

For me, this looks like some kind of furry critter, and I too think the water is low, so could be bear, beaver, some dog that went for a swim...nothing in that picture to suggest something cryptozoological...other than Bigfoot who was obviously taking the picture (BF's are notorious for operating cameras out of focus...too big of fingers to properly operate the zoom lens button).
