I see black squirrels more often than any other where I live. So this whole “elusive black squirrel” thing has always been odd to me, lol.

We have them in Alexandria and Elwood in northern Madison County Indiana and there are no large college campuses nearby for them have migrated from. There has never been any mention of them being imported either. I even saw one a few weeks ago about a block from my home in Anderson. We only have small Anderson University here and they have never imported any of the squirrrels; I’ve not seen one on the campus at least. They are beautiful but certainly not considered very unusual around here.

Not so odd;
we had black squirrels in the Bronx 40 years ago, on Pelham Parkway, blonde ones too.

I just sat on my front porch other day to watch a black squirrel in my yard. I only live roughly an hour an half S.E. of Kent

Did I tell you about that skunk that bled purple? Should’ve taken a picture, if I wasn’t holding my nose. It was roadkill. By my parent’s car. Yeah, awkward, they spent $20 at car washes that day. And can you send us another vid? It says their removed.

I’d be careful. Giant spiders are known to dwell in the same ecosystems as black squirrels.
