Take A Walk With Bigfoot

Posted by: Loren Coleman on September 2nd, 2007

Enjoy this footage again, as we gear up for the 40th anniversary on October 20, 2007.

The footage is to the Bigfoot branch (hominology) of cryptozoology what the Zapruder film is to the JFK assassination.Mysterious America

Without a doubt the world’s most famous Bigfoot movie…The Field Guide to Bigfoot and Other Mystery Primates

Segments above utilize M. K. Davis’ stabilization of the Patterson-Gimlin film, based on Rick Noll’s photographic stills of the original footage.

Loren Coleman About Loren Coleman
Loren Coleman is one of the world’s leading cryptozoologists, some say “the” leading living cryptozoologist. Certainly, he is acknowledged as the current living American researcher and writer who has most popularized cryptozoology in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Starting his fieldwork and investigations in 1960, after traveling and trekking extensively in pursuit of cryptozoological mysteries, Coleman began writing to share his experiences in 1969. An honorary member of Ivan T. Sanderson’s Society for the Investigation of the Unexplained in the 1970s, Coleman has been bestowed with similar honorary memberships of the North Idaho College Cryptozoology Club in 1983, and in subsequent years, that of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club, CryptoSafari International, and other international organizations. He was also a Life Member and Benefactor of the International Society of Cryptozoology (now-defunct). Loren Coleman’s daily blog, as a member of the Cryptomundo Team, served as an ongoing avenue of communication for the ever-growing body of cryptozoo news from 2005 through 2013. He returned as an infrequent contributor beginning Halloween week of 2015. Coleman is the founder in 2003, and current director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.

Perhaps the most significant thing about this footage [40 years-time does fly, doesnt it] is that there hasnt been any footage filmed that is comparable to it since 1967. I hope and pray that this year upcoming will be the year that either a Sas’ makes a mistake and comes out of hiding long enough for a major, multiple eye-witness event involving well known and respected citizens, and/or a film or two that rivals Pattersons. In a recent exchange of cross-country ‘e’ mails to my brother back east(who, by the way, is quickly becoming a student of the Big Fella, perhaps spurred on by my move to the PNW and his recent visit to the area), I remarked-with some sadness-that it was such a shame that a creature like this, which is probably the king of beasts/top of the food chain here in North America, is so almost completely ignored by most of those in the mainstream scientific community. Lets also hope and pray that this trend reverses as well. The more I learn about this animal, all I can think about is what a momentous addition to our understanding of the natural world it will be when this creature is finally catalogued alongside the other magnificent creatures that we share this world with.

Wow! Really well done. Fitting music too. Good thing Roger was not using a digital camera at the time!

Absolutely spot on. Many have tried though. There seems to be a new attempt almost on a weekly basis on You Tube etc.

Having had encounters of my own, this video always brings chills. Not only the mass of this female (which is probably 200 pounds less than an average male in the area), but also the pulled quad muscle along with the baby on the upper back, which actually moves away from the mother a tad with about 35 seconds left in the video. Check it out, you can see the newborn’s head in that frame. No hoaxer would have the imagination or anatomical education to fabricate this film, especially the clowns who claimed to have hoaxed it. Those guys couldn’t get out of their own way. WOW! I’ve seen the film a thousand times and am still in awe.

  6. deejay responds:

I know it’s an unpopular opinion around these parts, but I still think the footage is fake. And a baby on its back? Give me a break, you’re seeing things.

  7. YourPTR! responds:

An amazing video that has stood the test of time. 🙂

  8. Norm Al responds:

    Deejay

Of course the film is a fake!!! There are not giant apes roaming North America. It is biologically so implausible that when coupled with the lack of skeletal or other physical evidence we can conclude it is impossible.

So, this is a very, very huge dude in the best damn ape suit ever made by anybody before or since. Right?

It’s tough to be a rational person sometimes, but when the evidence keeps pointing me to an irrational explanation, it’s my only solace.

Anyway, if there appeared to be a baby on this thingy’s back, surely Patterson and/or Gimlin would have noticed it at the time. I see nothing on the back of the guy in the costume, except of course really realistic looking fur and musculature.

Man, that is a really, really good costume that very, very huge dude wore.

  9. Tumblty responds:

I just noticed the right thumb. Looks like it is huge.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
