		<description>Well that may be the answer but I am wondering what the sorce for this photo is and I would like to see the original.(ie) magazine cover or old photo  some one had to start with something.</description>

		<description>Some information regarding my take on this image.

I did a minor image level adjustment to increase contrast in the dark areas which revealed the overlapped sections. From there it was pretty obvious that the "arm" was in fact translucent. 

It appears that the lighting was matched in some areas using the bevel/emboss layer blend. Specifically to give the illusion of depth to the otherwise featureless and flat shape the arm is made out of.

The animal was most likely a bear added to the picture and further modified to appear more ape like. If I had to guess I would say this was someone's school project.</description>

		<description>Very good.....I've never 'photoshopped' anything and consequently don't know anything about the process, but this photo looks extremely suspicious from a simple gut-level impression.  The attempt to render it 'old-fashioned' looking is effective at first glance but with further scrutiny, the blurred quality is over-kill and looks fake.  The edges of the 'beast' appear manipulated as well to give it a conical head and hands rather than paws.....</description>
