Its like as we get older, if we "see" something, we realize we will be shunned for seeing it. Therefore we block it out of our minds. Than, as the child reaches the age of 8 the encounters begin to fade from the childs minds eye. But!, this is not always the case, some humans continue to experience the unknowable bumping the learned reality of the adult human long into later life. It appears some humans fail to fully accept the reality they are grown into as they see and know things others cannot. Indeed the unknowable is strange when looked at from the point of view that reality hidden from the learned reality should not be here. Bigfoot, yeti, sasquatch is an occult mystery such as these that enter our dubious reality. I know all about it. Indeed the unknowable is strange when looked at from the point of view that reality hidden from the learned reality should not be here.

Who knows? (1) Juvenile sas have a lot of roaming freedom; (2) the parents stay close by but tend to stay out of sight (many reports - in fact most such I've read - are of the "young one" only, with no bigger critter being reported); or (3) there's a smaller North American ape. One of the above (or maybe two...or maybe all three). Only one report. But what does it sound like to you? Any interaction between the two species of children would not be likely IMO. Differentiating between a short adult human and a tall 7 yr old? Not taking that chance.
