New Bigfoot Film Leaks
Posted by: Loren Coleman on May 16th, 2008
More information about what M. K. Davis has produced is leaking out, concerning what he sees in the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film.
I’ve been contacted by a seasoned Bigfoot researcher living on the West Coast who writes that M. K. Davis
…does have startling, new material.
He may be releasing it to the public in Ohio. He presented part of it at the April WBS meet. I went over to Ray’s later and he showed me the “good” stuff. We talked long about it. Since he told this to the WBS crowd, I can tell you.
While he was recently visiting Patricia Patterson she — wholly by accident — found a number of large format color slides apparently taken from the master film! Unbelieveable detail! Many new items seen!
They confirmed a senario I developed years ago about the Bluff Creek film. There was a reason that film got to Yakima or Seattle so fast. A through car or an airplane was waiting for it. And, there are only so many reasons someone would go to that expense.
I had {name withheld} come to the house to look at some stills one lunch hour and he almost wouldn’t go back to work.
MK thinks that when they made copies of the film it was “darkened” {he has a term for that} deleting detail. There is good cause to believe that was done purposely. Very good cause.
But then, in concurrent communications from filmmaker Johnsen, he now says that Davis will not be releasing anything new in Ohio.
Who knows? Is any of this new or even news? Why won’t the skeptics have a field day with such remarks directly or indirectly from those saying they have startling new evidence about the Patterson-Gimlin footage?

This is, undoubtedly, the kind of thing that makes a lot of ‘footers wish the Patterson film hadn’t happened.
And this is why I say:
1) hoaxes are irrelevant (Rembrandts got hoaxed. Do we now say he never lived?)
2) the gold is in the sighting reports, people.
Give Patty a stick (or even a zipper, or even three) and be done with it.
Sheesh.
I’ll be back when he’s ready to actually show us something
Just for the record–I wasn’t the person who communicated this to Loren.
Let’s all just forget about this for the next year or two, until MK et al. have their ducks in a row. It’ll be worth the wait.
these three new articles regarding this situation is interesting but in my opinion i feel like this is old news but i hope these comments or opinions about these 3 new articles dont get too out of contral what trying to say is in a nice way dont let media dam burst out of contral so to speak trust me ive seen what articles can cause on various blogs forums which names i wont mention. thanks bill green
Lol! Below is my post that I entered in the earlier “Caucasoid skin” thread.
“One can HARDLY rest assured. Things like what Roger Knights wrote are just hype, as evidenced by countless similar claims made ceaselessly through the years”
See? Told ya. Now they say maybe it will be released and maybe not. Maybe wait two years, maybe not. This is why skeptics have a field day with Bigfoot.
Roger Knights writes: “Let’s all just forget about this for the next year or two, until MK et al. have their ducks in a row.”
I hate to be the one to point out that we all have been waiting since the excited announcements and news release of November 2006.
And now we are being asked to wait until 2009 or 2010?
So only a few chosen ones get to “see the evidence” and make overblown claims, while the rest must calmly “wait and see” for another two years?
Is there any deep understanding of how this sounds?
I agree Mr. Coleman. All this “waiting” is just plain absurd.
Ditto that.
And if it is ever released my money is that it will inspire a nice, pure, refreshing yawn.
“look here we found it” then as the crowd gathers to pay their quarter for the side show they find out that “it” isnt anything more than another crock waiting to be force feed down their throats. then the real “it” isnt going to be ready for a couple years.
me thinks someone cries wolf
The Patterson film “darkened”? I was always under the impression that the film was too “over exposed” (more light than dark) because Patterson wasn’t that experienced with handling a camera? Comments?
It might mean that the copies were darkened, in other words they might have tried to do something in the copying process to make the copies come out a little darker – trying to correct the exposure. We are left to guess – is this talking about the 2nd generation film strips that were made?
As far as the “large format color slides taken from the master film” — in the late 60’s or early 70’s the the photographic term “large format” was usually speaking of 120 roll film which produced 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch slides or larger. The only real advantage here would be if they actually were taken from the original film strip and would be 2nd generation copies.
I agree with all of the “wait and see” comments. M.K. should at least make some kind of statement as to why. Otherwise he is digging himself a deep hole. Would it take a year or two for legal/copyright reasons?
I have absolutely no idea what any of this means.
Let’s just be patient for another 30 hours, ok?
I think what they saying is that the stills have been “DOCTORED”
LOL what a surprise… it’s hard to believe!! ;-o
I’m willing to wait another 30 hours or so, but not another two years. “M.K.,” whether he means to or not is well on the way to becoming the new “K.K.” Do we really need another one?
AND NOW, FOR ANYTHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT…!!!
Interesting turn of events, here…
I’m willing to wait a bit longer. Though as other people have stated here, this is really nothing new.
To Loren and all,
The apparent facts as I have them now are this:
Yes. There is yet another turn in the incident at Bluff Creek. However, unless all of us involved (me, MK, Scott, et al) want to be served our heads on a platter to a judge for libel, we cannot YET go public with this theory. However, as it is sometimes his way, M.K. let some related teasers out to the wrong crowd, someone hyped it to the max and plastered it on the internet. So, in the eyes of the observer, M.K. looks like someone just baiting the public and I, because I produced the last film, have been taken to be a carnival barker…setting up a media circus to sell tickets, or DVDs.
This is the second time that, in my opinion, M.K. has chosen to make the wrong decision concerning his ongoing study of the film, prematurely releasing information. You will remember, I dove in head first when the last incident happened only to try to calm the hornet’s nest…but all I accomplished was to also get stung.
So, apparently, Davis never made these statements as they appeared on the net. He did, as I stated, apparently tell someone something and the rest is history. But, he never said there would be anything mind blowing being released at Keating’s conference.
So, all of this was for naught, it seems. As I said earlier, it depends upon Davis whether or not he and I collaborate on an update. As it stands now I feel it might not happen.
All I and everyone else can do is wait and see. That is just the way it is.
