With the recent ‘flap’ over the “Bigfoot Massacre’ and letters to District Attorneys, I think Mr. Marlowe is in good company with Mr
Beckjord and Mr Biscardi.
Mr Marlowe has yet to produce his ‘crredentials’, and has the gall to question EB’s HMMMMMM.

Beckjord…is definitely deserving of such behavior modification techniques.

On to the subject of Biscardi: I guess if he wants his reputation raised a bit then he should continue to have his name mentioned along with Beckjord. After all anyone would look like a scholarly sanctified Bigfoot expert when mentioned with or compared to Beckjord.

I am sad that Beckjord and Biscardi are still so often mentioned to the public as being “Bigfooters”. They are the worst two examples of those involved in our endeavor. If not the top two, they are on everyone’s top 5 list of the jerks of the Bigfoot world.

I stopped listening to Beckjord after his disaster on Letterman’s show a few years back. It was too funny, but at the same time it just made me cringe! I totally agree with Mystery-man, this guy just has to find something better to do. Don’t go away mad, just go away!

Good luck on your attempt to professionalize this field by teaching a college course about it.

We here who actually have attended college do understand that some courses come and go from curriculums for various reasons and this has no reflection on you personally.

The “infamous one” obviously sees that you are his diametric opposite and he just can’t stand it! (grins)

Terry — He claims to have an undergraduate degree from Tulane and Masters in Sociology from Berkley. However, people have tried (including me) to obtain verification from these institutions of his credentials and have been unable to do so.

He says that he’s provided viewings of his transcripts to Bill Green and others, but they haven’t confirmed his claims (at least not to me).

Others and I have asked for proof on his website only to be banned. The college library at Berkley can not find a copy of his Masters Thesis in their collection.

I have come to believe that his credentials are “vaporware” as a result of these omissions and actions.

Beckjord seems to me to be one of those characters in the field whose antics and reputation proceed any actual qualifications they may have. I have been pretty taken aback by some of the antics that Beckjord has gotten up to over the years and in my opinion he has become almost a cartoon character within the field, a larger than life caricature rather than an actual person. Maybe that is what he wants to draw attention to himself and his agenda, but I find the kind of slander seen here to be inexcusable.

I’ve seen Erik Beckjord’s rants and raves on at least two mailing lists. His ego is monumental. What are his credentials, academic and in the field?

“I have no idea where Beckjord got his information, but I have a copy of an email he sent to the college in an attempt to solicit a teaching post there and oust me from the faculty.” It appears from Beckjord’s history, he had no source. He seems to have the personality type that tends to live in an alter-reality. Reality to him seems to be whatever achieves him the gain or upper-hand, because he wants to be the center of attention. Being an adjunct professor myself, I have encountered personalities just like this. Mr. Marlowe, thank you for all of your hard and persistent work in the field of cryptozoology. I will definitely visit your website.

Actually, Goon, The Jack-a-Lope was a gag routine that my children played on me a couple of years ago during my birthday party at a local Texas Steakhouse.

I sent the photo to Loren so he’d get a few yucks out of it, and it’s become a kind of inside joke among my cryptozoology colleagues.

But, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you, Loren, Cryptid Hunt, Wildlifephotographer, Brian, Nick and everyone else who have responded to Erick’s slanderous rants and unethical antics — some with pretty forceful challenges to EB’s postings. It’s nice to know that one has friends and supporters when the chips are down and an attack is on.
