I’ve read Cryptomundo for at least a couple years. My interest stems from my brother’s having taken a photo of a large bare footprint in a muddy area (I am guessing about 20 inches long and unusually wide) located off to the side of a logging road, as he described it back then, called the Golden Road near Mt. Katahdin in Maine where he was vacationing about 20 or so years ago. It’s a good shot taken with an old Instamatic camera, but he refuses to go public, so I am honoring that. I am not kidding and the info is as I recall it when he showed me the photo. I have since traveled to the Hoh River area in the rainforest of Washington State and to Mt. St. Helen’s where there are supposedly sightings. I’ve not seen anything myself, and would probably have heart failure if I did. But somehow, I keep looking. I carry a small camera on me when I hike and travel.

Hubris much Dave? On another note that halloween mask in the background doesn't exactly lend credibilty. Come to think of it, it looks just like the debated glass face print photo from another thread doesn't it?

Of course he is. He filmed one of his cronies in a fake BF suit in the swamp. You can be an expert if your making up the field as you go.

This will be an interesting program. I love a good train wreck. Maybe they will find a population of escaped monkeys.

Sorry guys for being skeptical. But this guy has a history. He'll make a great showman, I can't deny that. But don't get your hopes up for real serious crypto work.

That's a pretty impressive honor: The best person in the world at NOT FINDING ANYTHING.
When I was a History major, I was an average researcher. You know what, I still found the information I was looking for.

LOL

Let's face it, quiet, science minded fellows are NOT going to go out looking for a 'reality' series to get their names or theories across to the public. Its like Billy the Exterminator; I'm sure he is not the best exterminator in the State, but he is entertaining to watch. Then again, he's not trying to prove the existence of bugs or pests.

-shrugs- maybe he'll end up like Billy or Jeremy Wade. Maybe he'll end up looking the fool like Dog and many, many others. Its his life, I just hope the production company handling this show either makes it over the top (and this fellow seems to have the personality for that) or clearly labels the evidence 'recreated' and 'enhanced'

Truthfully, if Mr. Shealy is personable and can smile at himself, as opposed to taking himself and his 'research' far too seriously, I think this might be an entertaining show. A mix of Billy the Exterminator and Swamp People.

lol...I wonder if this show is produced by the same people as Finding Bigfoot. Like you said...seems to be a certain checklist for being the face of a crypto series on network television. In this case a huge ego is at the top of the list.
