Agree wholeheartedly with wbp. We all have Loren, Dr. Krantz, Bernard Heuvelmans, Rene Dahinden and the other pioneers in the field of Cryptozoology to thank for doing the difficult groundbreaking work in this field, so that we now see the likes of what Loren experienced in NYC. It brought me back a bit, in that I grew up about 50 miles south of NYC in Jersey, and bugged my folks more than once to take me to the museum of natural history so I could gawk and wonder at the Dino exhibit. Of course, we always took in the Hayden Planetarium when we were there. Well deserved congratulations on your' successful trip, Loren.

Hi Loren, has anyone ever told you what a standup guy you are? Of course they have but I just wanted to tell you again. It's great to see that so many young people are showing an interest in this field, and it's also nice to see so many parents supporting them in this endeavour. Get em well there young eh Loren lol. I think most peoples' interest in cryptozoology starts at a young age. Mine did. All my grandfather had to do was show me stills from the PGF and I was instantly hooked. It also helped that he had John Green's books, first editions actually I think. I'm still wondering what happened to them. They looked like old floppy textbooks they had been read so much. I'm getting off topic here sorry. I also did not know Morley was a Canadian, one more to add to my list of great canadians. It's nice to see that some famous people (Morley and You) still take trains and don't need to be first class citizens. Anyways congratulations Loren I only wish I could have been there. BTW are you coming to Alberta anytime soon lol? Have a good day.

Wasn't "Morleys" the brand of cigarettes that X File's Cancer Man favored?

Did this journalist made a program about the tobacco companies for 60 Minutes? Maybe Chris Carter decided to make him a little homage ;-)

Sounds like you had a great trip! And it's wonderful seeing that so many young people are interested. I'm a college English teacher with a lifelong (over 40 years) interest in zoology and cryptozoology. Way back when the latter was more or less relegated to the realm of kooks and geeks. But now there seems a genuine interest in the subject among many and a growing sense that there is a possibility that some of these creatures may well exist. I think a substantial degree of all of this is due to the efforts of scientists such as yourself, Dr. Meldrum, Dr. Krantz and now manyy others who have tried to give the subject the serious attention it deserves.

This spring I'm teaching a class on Bigfoot (which I taught last spring as well) at the College of Santa Fe (New Mexico). I call it "Belief and Popular Skepticism." Both last spring and this spring the class filled immediately. I'm using Jeff Meldrum's book (as I did last spring). I'd love to hear any suggestions, comments, or anything else from anyone concerning this.
