as for the b and w pic.. i don’t think it’ has nothing to do with any beaked whale..

i think if it’s still alive, it was a living fossil or at least a cryptid.

but none the less it was the best photo (in my opinion) of a unknown animal.. there’s another one but i can’t find it yet. i remember seeing it.

I have watched sea otters swim with clams and seashells in their mouths like a dog fetching something. It could look like a platapus.

I am wondering about some sort of walrus or seal with something in its mouth, much like Joppa…if he only saw it for a minute or so, he could have possibly seen a large flat object at the front and made a connection with it having a bill.

The only reason…well not the only reason, is all of the above mentioned…the platypus does not really grow that big, as far as I know it has never had a habitat outside of Australia (except maybe in a zoo), and well, no offense, but a giant platypus smacks of a Sci-Fi original movie on Saturday night!

PS: And i don’t see the resemblance with the beak of Baird’s whale. I think that, and the animal described by the witness in the article, might be a new species of beaked whale.
