I agree with you: this is the sort of thing that makes most people believe Cryptozoology is nothing but a commercial scheme intended only on producing media circuses, instead of real evidence.

The media is never trustworthy when it comes to cryptozoology.
Too often they end up making a mockery of the whole thing and get a nice clean profit to go with it.
I would love to be wrong this time though.
Lets hope it really is caddy this time

Why are they airing this on a TV program rather than submitting it to a zoological institution for peer review?

I have to say my red flag goes up when this sort of media sensationalism happens. If this were footage of any other new species, it would be looked at by those sorts of institutions before being released on a nationwide TV program.

Am I the only one who thinks it a little odd that whenever there is any alleged footage or evidence of cryptids, it is built up is this manner and made into a sort of freak show on national TV?

As someone constantly striving for crytpozoology to be taken as a legitimate scientific pursuit, this is the sort of thing I hate to see in this field to be perfectly honest.

Hope very much to see cadborosaurus in multiples. Expecting otters, ducks, moose, anything remotely similar. Wish it were otherwise.

I’m tired of arguments about blobs, vague shapes and objects that are JUST out of range. If this film is anything less than 15 plesiosaurs playing water polo and the winning team being interviewed, I can’t be bothered.

as much as i’d love to have someone discover 15 caddys, my money is on a family of 15 otters, and the program will claim that’s caddy, and it’s just a case of mistaken identity all these years.
