Malaysia is 90% jungle. Seen that on a show the other night. Can’t remember what show, Explorer channel I think. BigFoot could survive there no problemo.

Loren is absolutely correct regarding the history of Orang Dalam accounts. Both pre-hoax and post-hoax reports should be given the attention they deserve based on the quality of the evidence presented. Skepticism is fine, but let’s not throw the baby out with the bathwater.

The JOHOR debacle has been one of the biggest disappointments in Bigfoot history (at least to me). When I first heard all the JOHOR talk, I was very encouraged, as it looked promising and the information sounded credible. But, now I think of Tom Biscadi when I hear JOHOR talk. In other words: Hoax action.

Having both an Uncle and Aunt who works and knows the head-man of the Malaysian tourism board…They have divulge to me that this Johor Bigfoot thing was a hoax made up to promote Malaysia’s new Eco tourism angle. I’m sure there is some proof to this Johor Sasquatch, but it’s being brutally exploited by SE Asians who are just extreme capitalists. (Being from that part of the world, I can tell you all that’s all that goes on down there…MONEY MONEY MONEY) I urge you all to ignore all of the JOHOR Sasquatch news.

Sad but true, the word “Johor” is now going to cause people to trash before they study. It’s also true that we need to look through the tripe to find the good stuff, sadly, this picture ain’t it. No thought to weight distribution and pressure, this is just… ick. What’s worse is that there are people who will believe it.

I agree with Loren. We must be careful to sort out fact from fiction. The danger is that we may became as jaded about certain locales as science generally is about cryptozoology. One or a dozen fakes does not mean there is no creature at all.
