1) Undeniably the Eric Olsen video. Whatever one’s ultimate opinion on it—definitely provocative. Wonderfully ambiguous. Most here still can’t build a consensus on what it is, for the most part.

2) Panther sightings in the UK. There is a brand-new one of some weeks back where a Bobbie actually may have filmed one. Story is still spreading around Britain. Should give CryptoEnthusiasts hours in which to speculate.

3) Homo floresiensis is a new species. Agree with Maeko. More information about the true “origins” of our race on this Earth is coming out every year than ever before. “Hobbits” existed after all.

Those are the main ones. Overall, a very “fruitful” year.

However, the Champlain video brought out a great line of discussion on Crypto, from lots of people discussing the footage. I think there have been some good solid discussion blogs going on this year which says to me that the Cryptomundo community is sharp and looking for the right kinds of things in the right kind of way.

I think the new species of animals that have popped up even this year gives credence to our line of research and investigation. The giant 550+ lb stingray that was caught in Thailand just gives me even more confidence that there are plenty of big critters out there that have yet to be identified, or even seen…land and water.
