A number of years ago Joe Nickell conducted a thorough investigation in Flatwoods and gave his conclusions in a Skeptical Inquirer article which is also reprised in his recent book, &quot;Tracking the Man-Beasts.&quot;

Personally I found his evidence presented and conclusions to be most convincing. Sure, it just could have been an alien creature from outer space, some top secret military experiment run amuk, or even some bizarre animal that made its way to the surface from deep inside our hollow earth.

Or just maybe it was a misidentified barn owl.]]></description>
