We will only really see an increase in the number of sightings reported when sas is recognized by the scientific community as a living creature (assuming it exists).

This is a really interesting account and I am happy that the driver had the presence of mind to go back and take photos of the prints. I'd love to get a look at those photos. Is it too much to hope that they might get posted here at Cryptomundo?

I suppose that some of the long-reported mountain lion and wolf reports in places like Illinois and Missouri, long after they were reported exterpated, are similar, but certainly nothing on the order that BF has, which of course, just underscores the wonderful quasi-reality of it all, and ultimately keeps me interested.

By the way...I google earthed Cranbrook. Might be a bit on the "industrial rustic" side like a lot of resource extractive industrial towns are. But it is located in a fantastic part of the country from the standpoint of it's proximity to really big un-broken wilderness, and like alot of those kinds of places, the wilderness is slowly re-claiming the areas where humans rarely travel.

Interesting note: Cranbrook is in the same neck of the woods as the area where Mr Standing says his purported "sylvanic sasquatch" is located, so maybe the local population is becoming "habituated".

And there's another one.

Whether one wants to follow up on these or not, lots of people are seeing the same thing, aren't they?

I was wondering. This happens to be the only cryptid I'm truly interested in (other than the yeti, for which recent information seems to be scant, and maybe the yowie but I haven't paid enough attention to be sure what folks are seeing there).

Is anyone else aware of any cryptid for which there are this many sighting reports, this consistent in nature?

I find it sad that after all this time there's still a stigma attached to making a sighting and being scared to report or talk about it to anyone as not to be labeled a nut job. One can only conclude it will take a one on one interview on 60 minutes with Bigfoot before people might believe or take notice. I say thanks to Gord for informing us and hope we get to see his photos. I'm hoping there not blurry.
