Interesting story, but some of the contradictions here baffle me. Like “He said it had tore his dog up,” said a Quick Stop witness. She said she saw the dog, but didn’t see any blood on it. Now that just doesn’t sound like a torn up dog to me and doesn’t make any sense. Also the part about him gunning it down. Was he out camping while packing a gun? What went on there? Would like to hear more details about this one.

Before I posted this article, I emailed Tim Chitwood, who I have corresponded with for several years. I asked him if the 911 call was from the same incident. He assured me that it was. I did not verify it beyond that.

Intriguing, but a little lacking in coherent details for a clear call to be made in my opinion. That could just be from the story being second/third hand, or it could just be BS on the part of the original teller. Hopefully, some more info will come to light.
