What Is It? A New Bigfoot Video?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on May 3rd, 2007

The purported Bigfoot video posted here on Cryptomundo last week generated quite a bit of discussion.

Submitted for your approval is the following entry again from youtube.

The following text is what is posted with the video at youtube.

There was something out there. I don’t know what it was, but it was something. This is near Washington park in Portland.Believer400

Apparently, it was shot in Oregon. What does Autumn Williams know about it?

  1. borntofightdinosaurs responds:

is it just me, or did sasquatch seem to be just taking a merry little stroll through the woods? the arm movemants are similar to the ones made by people powerwalking.

  2. shumway10973 responds:

did anyone else notice that they swung the camera to the clearing, stopped, then swung a little more to the left, zoomed in and we ended up right back at the clearing? A little editing perhaps? borntofightdinosaurs is right, big foot looks too human in the way it’s walking, mentioning the swinging of the arms. I noticed it was walking with perfect posture, as though trying to look good for the camera. By the way, that clearing looks like someone has logged it. I always thought big foot would usually avoid busy areas. I know there were a few reports in and around logging sites (my great uncle included), but those I figured the humans came in quickly and therefore the big foot was protecting/protesting/some what threatening.

  3. bill green responds:

hey everyone wow thats a very interesting new oregon sasquatch filmfootage indeed. it needs more research and study. thanks bill green

  4. UKCryptid responds:

Seems quite happy, like it wants to go skipping down the road, lol. My opinion is that it’s not real and we’ve yet more youtube based bigfoot hunter wannabes at work here. Perhaps they need to pay for their computer games or something…

  5. Atticus responds:

Bigfoot seems to be just taking a nonchalant stroll through the woods.

    This is obviously a hoax.

  6. elsanto responds:

Bigfoot iz gots one baaaaaaaaaaad strut!

  7. RockerEm responds:

HOAX. That dude was walking so fast and the shoulder movement was alllll human. Too obvious.

  8. Darkwing2006 responds:

You also see what appears to be gloves on the hands towards the end of the video. Hoax, IMHO

  9. jayman responds:

Just another “whatzit”. Brief and distant. But it makes you wonder, why do people go to the trouble for anything so unconvincing?

  10. Delawhere responds:

With that George Jefferson-esque strut, I can say one of two things:

    WEEZY!

    Or
    Sasquatch is one baaad….
    Shut your mouth!
    Just talkin’ about Bigfoot.

    Hey, I was

  11. MBFH responds:

Just out for a jaunty stroll in the country. Very odd, in terms of why?!

  12. Jos Gagné responds:

Seems a little stiff to me… don’t you think? Like his back is arched a little too far behind…

  13. little fierce responds:

….and the footage ends just as it was about to come into the clearest shot….hmmmph!

  14. Mysteriousness responds:

Not saying it isn’t Oregan, but it REALLY looks like the bald eagle pen in the DC National Zoo.

Regardless, why is there a bald eagle in a pen? It would seem this fellow is not exactly in the middle of nowhere. Methinks the setting is a little suspicious…..

  15. Sunny responds:

Thank you, Mysteriousness — I was stuck on “why is that eagle in a pen in the middle of nowhere?” as well.

Anybody else think that “Bigfoot” appears to be walking down a paved pathway (that seems to be on a downward slope)? That would explain the leaning back and the nonchalant ease with which he’s making his way through the “wilderness”.

There’s also a square, printed sign (BF walks in front of it) — and there’s some sort of a utility pylon at the top of the hill, too.

    Not very much wilderness.

  16. showme responds:

Definitely two takes of the same scene. The subject walks in front of the sign twice.

  17. Bob Michaels responds:

No Sasquatch, just another you tube phony.

  18. mystery_man responds:

It took me a little looking to pick out the alleged Bigfoot in this video, so I wonder why they were able to notice it and zoom in on it as quickly as they did if their attention was on the eagle, which I presume is the supposed original subject of the video. She reacts with suprise only after pulling the camera away from the bird to seemingly pointlessly film the surrounding area. Also, what is with the sudden cut in the middle, where the camera cuts and then starts again farther back. The one thing that gives this one any credibility is that it seems to be raining, which is not the best weather for going out to make hoaxes.

  19. timar responds:

I’m from Oregon, Portland specifically and for reference Washington Park is basically in the city. It’s adjacent to our zoo. It’s surrounded by tons of streets as well as housing developments. The zoo holds music concerts throughout the summer. Not exactly ideal bigfoot habitat.

  20. mystery_man responds:

Well, there you go. Case closed.

  21. dogu4 responds:

Case closed? I just google earthed the Oregon zoo in Portland. Certainly it’s not great habitat itself but it is connected to a pretty big piece of undeveloped land surrounding a northward trending ridge of hills (around 800feet high) it is a corridor and a protected parkland that connects to the rural areas, which in that part of the continent is a patchwork of cleared and forested land inter-laced with drainage ravines and creeks.

That said, I don’t think it’s BF either, because it seems too gracile, though were it an adolescent, perhaps enchanted by the pheromones emanating from the zoo; happy and care free since it felt immune from human eyes with all the rain, then I guess it could look a lot like that.

This vid has been around for a few months but this is the first discussion I’ve heard. I’d love to know a bit more, genuine or not.

  22. Craig Woolheater responds:

    Update:

Additional videos have been found on youtube from the same area.

See: What Is It? A New Bigfoot Video?

  23. kamoeba responds:

Being on such a pleasant stroll, I almost expected to hear the alleged Sasquatch singing “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da” as cartoon birdies flitted about.

  24. jav414 responds:

    The video is bogus.

  25. michaelm responds:

    crap.

  26. YourPTR! responds:

Not real, movement is far too human. Terrible and obvious hoax.

  27. mystery_man responds:

Dogu4, I was joking about the “case closed” remark. I would never make that assumption without looking into it more for myself.

  28. dogu4 responds:

Mystery Man…righto! I used to think BF near human habitation would be so unlikely, and still do, but that part of Portland on Goolge Earth is very detailed and worth checkin’ out vicariously, until the source comes forward with more that I’ve seen so far.
