MMTHPOOLGHOSTCAMPR:

Well good, we both agree the Mobius photos are fakes then.

But I still think lumping UFOlogy and Cryptozoology together is like comparing apples and oranges. (or physics and biology)

I have to say, there were some other interesting things that came out of that Mobius investigation. Perhaps one day I'll write it up.

I have a small ranch in Florida, I do not carry a camera with me when I am out and about on my land. Why would this fellow have a camera with him ? I keep a gun handy however, due to snakes and gators. Might be something for the man in the suit to think about !!

That's why it's good to have skeptics, because they show us what is definitely not real, in this case I'd say fake just cuz how it looks. Why would this old dude make up this junk? Who knows maybe to get those bigfoot groupies?

Mr. Wells, I am not trying to advance the reality of anything. In fact I could care less what people think is real or not. I do not go door to door preaching nor do I hunt for bigfoot. But saying lumping cryptozoology with UFOs is detrimental to both is comical. Both have alot in common as far as evidence, except that there are thousands of photos of UFOs and just a handful of bigfoot. I am sure that my comments won't hinder anyones research or as you say "insist upon them advance theories", I just stated what I feel and what I believe in, and that is these pics of bigfoot are bogus to me. I did track down those droppings and set a trap, and low and behold, it was a mouse just as you had predicted.

This just makes looking at photos and film evidence even more ugly for those of us trying to sift through the crap to come up with real evidence for unknown critters. With the advances in technology, it is going to be harder and harder to accept photo/film evidence because everybody has access to high tech print/photo software...which is just going to make all of our jobs harder in sifting out the evidence...and when one of the fakes does make it through the radar, it just gives more fuel to the non-believers....sheesh.

MMTHPOOLGHOSTCAMPR:

1) A skeptical mind does not necessarily equal a closed mind, just one that questions.

2) Without some sighting or other direct (or very convincing anecdotal) experience, belief is faith, not science. If all you need is faith, then BF and angels and aliens are all real to you and it should matter little to you what others believe. If we are to prove that BF are flesh and blood, however, science, not faith, is needed, and science operates on empirical data.

3) The string of bogus photos and images (like biblical tests of faith) strengthen our resolve to find irrefutable proof and, ironically, in many ways give the less easy to refute proof (such as Alton Higgins photo analysis of Patty that are extrapolated to other photos, or the dermal ridges and foot structure analysis of Jimmy Chilcut and Jeff Meldrum) more veracity.

And while I share your belief in BF (in the face of what I see as compelling anecdotal and physical evidence), and in God (as a matter of personal faith and experience), I've become convinced through my studies that the UFO and abduction phenomenon say more about how people's iterpretations of strange phenomenon have changed over the years than they say about the possibility of life from other planets visiting ours.
Aliens visiting our planet, much as I wanted to believe in it as a child, just doesn't logically follow from the evidence, and in this case, proof for me has to be more scientific and less faith based, due to the nature of the subject.

But lumping them all together, I feel, does little to advance the "reality" of any of the above phenomenon, and in fact lumping cryptozoology in with UFOlogy is detrimental to the understanding of both fields. It is like insisting one MUST believe in advance theories of physics because one finds droppings in the kitchen that point to evidence of a mouse.

I get so tired of seeing pictures and videos that are nonsense. There is always something strategically obstructing the view of the creature, object and etc. I do understand that at times that things do get in the way, but c'mon. Why are there so many more skeptics than there are believers?

It's simple,

1) because some people have a closed mind and chose not to believe,

2) because most people have not had a sighting of a creature or a UFO,

and 3) it's because of these streams of bogus photos that keep appearing. I am a believer in bigfoot and aliens from space and in GOD, even though I haven't seen the 3 in person.
