New York Bigfoot Sighting?

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on June 12th, 2006

The Buffalo News reports today that Biscardi’s team had a sighting of a "6- to 8-foot-tall humanoid creature Friday through thermal imaging."

Filmmaker Todd Bailey, who is making a documentary called "Bigfoot Lives" that follows Biscardi and his team on their hunts, was the first to see the creature on the infrared cameras.

"You could definitely tell the shape of something. There was definitely something in the woods that crouched down and then stood," Bailey said.

The team also was able to make contact with the creature for half an hour through recorded Bigfoot calls and "tree knocking," which is the preferred method of Bigfoot communication, Biscardi said.

"I’ve only experienced that two other times in my life, and I’ve been doing this for 34 years," Biscardi said of the returned sounds.

The shape of something…that’s sounds definitive.

Their Friday night success motivated the team and three Clarence residents to return to Mobius’ farm Saturday night for further investigations. Although they tried tree knocking, predatory calls and listening for the creature with a bionic ear, which Biscardi said can detect even the slightest whisper 300 yards away, the team saw and heard nothing for nearly five hours.

Biscardi blamed the lack of activity on migratory patterns. He said he thinks the creature or creatures had already headed north.

"I guarantee you this – something was there," he said. "I figure this thing had taken up temporary residence for two to three weeks. That’s a normal pattern. They stay when they feel secure, serene, when they can find food for their family."

Bigfoot creatures travel in what he called breeding pools of three to eight.

"It’s not just one or two of these things around the country. There’s a minimum of 3,500," said Biscardi, who claims to have experienced five Bigfoot encounters.

Sounds like the "groupies went back out with the team Saturday night.

Biscardi’s team has not given up hope, however. They left Sunday for Portsmouth, Ohio, to investigate a similar sighting.

Look out Ohio!

I emailed Ben Radford to ask if he had gone out to Mobius’ farm over the weekend. He said that he had. I asked if he had met up with Biscardi and he said that he had not, but his associate Joe Nickell had met with Biscardi. Maybe Ben will shed some light here on that meeting.

Yeah… we had “knockers” in one of the houses I used to live in when I was just out of college. Other folks in the house said that, if you knocked on the wood siding of the house something “knocked back”.
I heard this phenomenon a couple times myself and assumed it was some sort of echo effect. I had no idea we had Sasquatch living between our walls.

  2. Jeremy_Wells responds:

Oh My GOD!! I used to live in Portsmouth Ohio! My first newspaper job was for the Portsmouth Daily Times!!
I bet they are heading for the Shawnee State Forest!

  3. jeremyDC responds:

There coming down to Ohio to hook up with “King of the Blob Squatch” Dallas Gilbert. He resides in the Portsmouth area. I live about 30 minutes from that area, and I haven’t heard of any recent sightings.

  4. fredfacker responds:

Thermal imaging? I mean, seriously, does anyone really know the heat signature for Sasquatch? Sounds like they just made a thermal image of a person standing up. You don’t even need a monkey suit to do that.

  5. archaeus responds:

This is my first time posting on this site.
And must tell you how informational and enjoyable I have found this site to be.

Regarding the Mobius Bigfoot. I have written two related article on the phenomenon which may prove of interest with readers of this site.

    Thank you.

  6. Craig Woolheater responds:

    jeremyDC,

Biscardi’s team previously hooked up with one of Dallas Gilbert’s associates as was recounted previously here on Cryptomundo.

I wonder if they decided to go back for more?

  7. aaha responds:

I believe it. If it comes from Biscardi, than it has to be authentic. He’s been researching bigfoot for over 35 years over the last two years.

  8. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    JeremyDC,
    Where are you at?
Gilbert is the same guy who Kirsten Dunst lampooned in her Daily Times article, isn’t he?

  9. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    errrr, Kirsten Stanley…

  10. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    Craig,
I know of a credible witness who reported vocalizations on the edge of the Wayne National Forest in the same area, and of another credible witness who reported seeing an unidentified something while jogging in the Shawnee. I know both these people personally and while neither have ever “seen Bigfoot” both were shaken by their experience.
It’s a shame that folks keep making laughing stocks of the phenomenon in areas where, under the right circumstances, something might actually materialize.
This being my old stomping grounds, I’ll be following the Portsmouth stories very closely and will be glad to pass along anything my associates in the area share with me (with their leave).

  11. greywolf responds:

Craig: Now that the Biscardi calvery is on the scene what next?

  12. One Eyed Cat responds:

Uh, aaha I think you need to re-read your post. I don’t think it came out like you meant though I think I got what you meant.

I understand not always seeing problems before posting, I have missed several typos lately

  13. jeremyDC responds:

    Jeremy_Wells,
    I’m from the Waverly area.

    Craig,

Yes, I believe the Biscardi-Gilbert affair is going to be a regular thing. I read a report on Biscardi’s site where he described a meeting and expedition with Dallas and his family. He concludes the article by stating they were planning on returning to the area.

  14. twblack responds:

I still say it is a hoax! And now MR. B knows how and when they migrate, how many travel in each group or breeding pools as he calls it. And how many are living (3500). I wonder if one of the five encounters he counted the one Young BF that was caught and injured being in a cave or something to that effect.

  15. chrisandclauida2 responds:

the only bigfoot biscardi encountered was peggy marx in that hideous ape costume.

  16. Xeno2814 responds:

Okay…so where’s this thermal image of Bigfoot? I mean, I’ve seen them use thermal imaging on Ghost Hunters (Great show by the way) and I’ve seen them catch their own unexpected reflection numerous times that they then have to rule out.

I also raise the question (perhaps foolishly) of how exactly they know ‘tree knocking’ is the preffered method of Bigfoot communication. Is it the Sasquatch version of Sprint PCS? I’m not ruling out that is how the creatures communicate, just how he knows. And why have we never heard these Bigfoot calls in any other forum? Also, how does Biscardi know what a normal pattern of Bigfoot migration is? I’ve never heard anyone else claim to know how these creatures move over long distances. And, if they do migrate, might it not be similair to other creatures and follow a pattern that is more or less consistent? And if that’s the case, wouldn’t more Bigfoot have been seen in the same areas over the years instead of what seems to be (To me at any rate) scattered, almost random sightings? Especially in the Clarence area. With how it mingles between farmland and suburbs, I would have thought that someone else would have reported seeing something at least once in their yard…

*Sigh* I almost feel like Biscardi is playing up this story just because they think we’re backwater around here…

  17. cor2879 responds:

Actually there are quite a few theories about the migratory patterns of Bigfoot. Of course they are just that — theories. As far as I am aware there is no one who ‘knows’ what their migration patterns are or indeed whether or not they do in fact migrate.

  18. Sassafrasquatch responds:

Wonder if he will charge for a daily feed of Thermal images? Or maybe a trail diary page? I hope I am not giving him ideas. hehehe.

  19. Jeremy_Wells responds:

“*Sigh* I almost feel like Biscardi is playing up this story just because they think we’re backwater around here… ”

    Xeno,
I know that feeling. It was the first thing that went through my head when I heard they were heading to Portsmouth.

  20. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    jeremyDC,
Pleasure to make your acquaintance! How’s all that A-Plant construction treating y’all in Waverly? (wanna talk about some weirdness, I’ve heard strange things about the effects of radiation on farm cats in your neck of the woods, causing birth defects and such like.)
I’m originally from right down the road and across the river in the South Shore KY area.

  21. furryfinger responds:

seems to me the only way to see a bigfoot is not look for it….drop any non-woodsman off with a pocket full of spoons and forks and bet they will see something. tree knocking? drop a rubix cube infront of a tree cam and i bet a bigfoiot will find that more intresting than raw rat meat….come on guys think out the box. would a cave man be more intrested in a stick or a hotwheels car?

  22. Jeremy_Wells responds:

    vroom vroom

  23. shumway10973 responds:

yeah, tree knocking, they obviously watched sasquatch the movie. who knows, some chimps use a form of tree knocking for warding off predators. maybe they got lucky they didn’t end up dead.

Sorry. Comments have been closed.
