i saw this movie at the premiere last month and was very surprised. it really captures the feel of those old movies perfectly and doesn’t go too far into the CHEESE zone if you know what i mean. i don’t want to ruin it for anyone but Bigfoot fans should not be disappointed

Sorry for the misunderstanding C., to me the film looks like Boggy Creek 2007. Almost looks like torn up blue jeans as a costume. I’ll watch it and feel ashamed. I’m not crazy about B movie depictions of the unknown, then again most major studios won’t touch this kind of material.

Aye I do believe that this is going to be one of those films were you want it to be as simple as the wildman being exactly that, just a sasquatch/wildman/bigfoot. But it turns out that its that age old scooby doo ending of a dude in a suit using the wildman figure to scare people and the such like.

Which is a bit dissapointing if it is so.

Stooge, I’m aware of that in general. I was making my comment about the poster. Not about bigfoot types as a general thing. It looks like it’s wearing ragged clothes composed of bits of hides, and probably a mask of some sort with the tusks as part of it. But that’s pure speculation on my part.

One more thing, the use of tools by these types of creatures is not unheard of ceroill. There have been sightings reported in other parts of the United States that claim the “creature” uses branches as clubs, so the idea of it using antlers isn’t that farfetched. As far as attacking people, I wouldn’t think so. But I have read reports where groups of creatures have herded deer into a gauntlet and were then clubbed to death. Contrary to popular belief they are not strictly vegetarian.

In the mid 1800’s there was in Jackson county just south of Lavaca county where Sublime is, there were reports of the “Wildwoman of the Navidad” reported in newspaper in the area and in some northern circulations. There were some eyewitnesses but the name wildwoman was given because of the screams it would make at night along the Navidad bottoms. The area of Jackson and Lavaca counties are both within what we call here in texas call “the Big Thicket”. This area has had many sighting of what are called “boogers”, “wooly boogers” or even “boogey men” since it has been settled.

When I say settled I mean the edges of the thicket. There are very few communities actually in the thicket itself and only a few roads in the area that penetrate it. Southeast Texas and East Texas both have multiple sightings a year.

The film itself looks campy and fun but know that the content may have more truth than most will believe.

It’s funny that in the trailer the citizen even calls it a “booger”.

Hmmmm, well to be honest the fewer movies which show sasquatch as aggressive natured animals the better I say. Because if the day comes that proof of their existence is substantiated, then we might have a reoccurrence of the “JAWS” effect, if anybody remembers that? Back in the 70’s when Jaws came out every fisherman and his friend went out and killed great whites through fear and for sport. This is something I don’t think we should forget because there is a lesson to be learned there.
