I agree with the other comments: “Find Of The Century”? Nah. But again, interesting. None of us were there, so we don’t know exactly what this “creature” looked like, and it is so hard to judge footprints just by looking at photos. Especially snow prints. Does anyone think they were exaggerating when they said: hundreds of footprints? If there were that many, then the creature must have used this “route” more than once, and possibly Tom Biscardi is correct in stating that the creature must have found solace in this area and is staying in a cave or something. Unless some of the prints are of different length, indicating more than one creature. Let’s wait and see if we hear anymore about this encounter, or if it ends up like so, so many others: nothing more is said (example: the recent sighting(s) in Wisconsin by the two boys and the deer snatching from the truck). Like I said, none of us were there, so what exactly are the facts and the evidence? Maybe we will hear something about the hair sample.

I think the real problem is that TB is so well known (and not in a particularly favourable way) that he has become the first name on any reporters itinerary in the wake of an alleged sasquatch sighting. Being a man not to miss any publicity opportunity, Mr Biscardi is only too happy to offer his “professional opinion” to the tabloids thus negating the need for the journalist to question other (slightly less circus ringmaster-esque) Cryptozoologists their opinions.

I lose interest in a Bf sighting, and or all Bf sightings, it seems after finding that TB is involved and it really shouldn’t be that way. I think that the Media circus TB is well known to gladly ham for is what he truly seeks. TB seems to make media blunders, and other claims that make the rest of the Crypto Community roll their eyes and smile with clenched teeth and hope for it to pass by quickly .

I thought this was interesting: the eyewitness’s recounting of her uncles’ efforts to match the creature’s stride — a creature that “breezed” along the trackway. To create that huge a stride, for a human, wouldn’t be easy, period, and surely wouldn’t in a suit, I wouldn’t think. You sure wouldn’t get the impression of “breezing.”

Sightings that combine with pretty convincing looking trackways — like, hmmmmmm, Patterson/Gimlin — constitute to me something pretty durn hard to debunk. That’s a lot to get right — the look of the animal, the nonhuman gait and the trackway with so many features not characteristic of humans.

Debunkers aweigh! And good luck with this one.

And you know, the above makes me wonder why something else is never (that I’ve seen) tossed at the scofftics. (I’m not calling the Radford types “skeptics” anymore. They don’t act like skeptics, they act more like cynics.) If the Patty figure was a guy in a suit, you’re telling me this guy vanished, without trace, in a remote area, ahead of two men not only unencumbered by bulky suits but ON HORSEBACK?

I’m thinking not, Bob Hieronymous.

The find of the century? Hardly, but this wouldn’t be the first time a reporter pulled only what they felt would be the best sound bite for their story. It’s entirely possible this quote was taken out of context, so give the poor guy a break.

I don’t believe those tracks are hoaxed. In fact, they look pretty darn real compared to others photographed under the same conditions and the lack of detail makes me wonder why a hoaxer would go through the touble. It would be interesting to know if there was any ‘drag’ between the prints, which would surely give away a hoaxer. If the gait was substantial and the snow deep, it’s unlikely a human being could have made them, especially when being viewed by a passer-by.

What will be the most shameful thing of all, is if Biscardi actually catches Bigfoot first. I would rather see some individual researcher get the credit than Biscardi.

Maybe the serious sas community ought to rent planes towing BEWARE BISCARDI banners anyplace where there has been or may be a sighting.

(Rent as many of them as you can.)

This sas-in-Sas stuff sounds interesting to me, and I heard about the activity before I heard about the Biscardi involvement. The sighting descriptions, the track photos and the description of the trackway seem, if superficially and so-far, to be of a piece with lots of evidence from other places.

Not letting Biscardi rain on my parade yet.
