Mysterious Creatures™ the Game

Monsters on the Rio Grande

Posted by: Craig Woolheater on November 26th, 2005

From the Sante Fe New Mexican come tales of all manner of creatures. The article maintains that the tales of monsters and mythical creatures were brought to the New World by the European settlers. These tales were told many years before they were brought to America, at least in the opinion of the author.

These weird ideas and legends were quickly transferred to America. On many of the earliest maps, engravers included images of sea monsters and land dragons in those spaces still unexplored.
