Get this. You probably won’t find more information on the topic in many of the books you have, and certainly none in such a field-friendly, easy-to-carry format. Excellent illustrations.

This could insert seamlessly into any North American mammal field guide. When that is going on, anyone with a science degree or an interest in animals should be taking note.

Watch out. Some scoffer will come on here and blast Meldrum for wasting his time actually talking to people about his lame quest, rather than locking himself up in his office; plowing the furrow of the known an inch deeper and an inch farther…and calling it “science.”

Meldrum may someday be seen as a Darwin in this field. I hope he gets to see that day.

Found this old youtube post while searching Erikson Project....can't wait to see Matilda!! ;p Uploaded on Jun 27, 2011 The documentary "Sasquatch: the Quest" is part of the Erickson Project and will unveil, for the first time, a host of never before seen sasquatch footage and other evidence chronicling the journey of the Erickson Project. The release of the documentary will coincide with the release of the DNA findings collaboratively with Dr. Melba Ketchum. *They are very close to completion, but there is no exact time on when it will be done. Author is confident it will be worth the wait as the data is very complete.

It was perhaps a year before the release of his scientific tour-de-force, “Sasquatch: legend meets science. That day, i decided to try and call my hands down hero in the field, Dr Jeff Meldrum, and leave him a brief message telling him how much I and my two sons enjoy his many contributions to cryptozoology. Imagine my surprise when he answered the phone and took the time answer many of my questions, including the snow walker footage and the redwoods video. His workload must have been enormous, yet he spoke to me for nearly an hour. Bravo, Professor! I eagerly await your new field guide; I will buy several, and give a few to some friends i have who stand transfixed as i speak of the big guy; truly, you are the Heuvelmans of our time. Thank you, Dr Meldrum.

And just to help the cause further, two more field guides: Field Guide to the Sasquatch and Raincoast Sasquatch The latter is deliciously buried - no, not actually, it's right at the end - of one of the finest books on the subject. Practical tips for the citizen researcher are in both.

I will pick one up just to support Meldrum. He has been one of the true champions of bringing a “true” scientific approach to the sasquatch mystery. Not sure how much luck I will have in North-Central Massachusetts, but I support the cause!
