Why are sightings in Washington the highest in the nation?

Craig, or Loren, is this a true statement? If it is. I'm definitely going to be spending more time in the bush. Deep bush. I know their is plenty of it in this state. I ride through all kinds of forested areas on the hog. And let me say, I have no problem believing a creature as large as the Big Ones can exist in our forest here in Washington. I need to spend more time in the woods. A good couple three week's. not just a week-end here & there. Anyway, is that a true statement, Washington has the most sightings in the nation?

Been waiting a long long time for something like this to come around close to home. I can walk to the Museum from work. (The Capital) Just a few blocks up the road. I for one can't wait until Saturday. I will be there. Most likely all day. If I'm not mistaken this will be the first exhibit like this at the Capital Museum. I will take some photos & send to Loren. If they are worthy maybe he will post them. I'm looking forward to meeting Peter, Jeff & Robert. I'm sure I'll buy some books too. Can't wait, very excited about this. I was going to send this article to Loren. But to my amazement it was already here. Kool!

Seeing how "state of the art" science is up in the Seattle area, let's hope they do a thorough job of bringing the exhibit into cyberspace. I'm sure it would be a marvelous way for the curators to express their talents and their techniques in reaching the public. Cheers

Wooooooowhoooooooo!!! Finally, so close I can walk to the museum from work. I work at the Capital. I have been waiting for something like this for a long, long time. I get to meet at least three very informative people on the subject. Listen to some great native stories also I'm sure. Maybe ask Peter if he knows of any upcoming expeditions in Wa. I would love to be a part of that. I read in the Olympian that Biscardi also will have stuff on display. Oh well, I guess I will check his stuff out also. I'm so excited about this. I will let you all know how it goes. This is great. I can't wait! I see new books in my future. Autographed!

Sounds like a first-rate effort to educate and stimulate interest. I am unable to take long drives due to recent spinal surgery, but if I understood the article correctly, the exhibit will be on display for a year. Since its only about an hour and a half away, I'll make it up there, God willing. Thanks for the info, Craig.
