I say give the guys (and gal) a break–it is a TV show, not a fully accurate depiction of what they do when out “squatching.” There is not a single bigfooting group in the world that would look less silly under the circumstances, surrounded by multiple cameras, lighting, boom mics, and producers, and subject to editorial processes beyond one’s control.

They filmed in my bookstore, and there were three cameras, a long microphone on a pole, two large portable lighting rigs, and two producers standing around commenting and directing (“don’t look at the camera!”). There was barely any room, considering the crowd and additional large piles of books everywhere, for the stars of the show and I to even have a conversation.

How on earth can they claim to be the most ‘scientific’ group in search of Bigfoot when they make appearances at a comic conference where the zainyest wackos on earth gather together? If that is your hobby, fine, but please don’t drag Bigfoot into that arena any more than it already is which already totally misrepresents Bigfoot.

wuffing is right 44 years is not more than 50 and 16mm film is not tape. Call it semantics if you want but it is far from accurate.

If they are going to discuss the PGF beyond referencing it, I hope that they include the latest and best work that has been done on the analyzing of the film by Mr. Munns, otherwise it will pale in comparison.

Remind me please – the P-G incident occurred how many years ago, and was recorded on what medium ?

This does not bode well for the show’s accuracy.
