		<description><![CDATA[I remember Ranae suggesting that the tracks pictured above were a superposition of elk tracks over bear tracks. Looking at the images here, I really see her point. Doesn&#039;t it look like there are vertical marks, presumably claw marks, in the center of the &quot;toes&quot;? 

I don&#039;t know how elk hooves are constructed, but for that to work there must be  concavity present that protects the claw marks to some degree.]]></description>
