CITES and people who study economy. According to a study, the species Thylacinus cynocephalus is MORE LIKELY ALIVE THAN DEAD. In response to this, I now have a list of CryptoZoo's most wanted, with the Thylacine at #3.

Not at all surprising....in British Columbia, Canada, the wildlife act has intrenched in it, protection for any previously unknown species dwelling in Lake Okanagan (Ogopogo's home) (this has been in place for a couple of decades), and I believe also a protection for any previously undiscovered primate as well.

In a related bit of trivia, CITES still has Thylacines covered under appendix one....so they at least, still have faith.

From what I have found out about this memo, it is legit. It was written in response to a bunch of sightings in 1977, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service was worried they wouldn't be prepared.

I have referred to this document over the years. US Fish and Wildlife also has an Action Plan, to be put into place when Bigfoot is proved real. I have personally seen several pages of it, and it was a standard protocol for study, data requirements, and different protection measures and actions if the species is listed.

California Department of Fish and Game issued a similar memo, addressing call blasting. They stated that if bigfoot was real, call blasting (in response to John Freitas' well known research method) could be considered wildlife harassment. I called and confirmed the memo.
