Ol bub went to NSU before entering the Air Force in 1967....located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma....the capital of the Cherokee Nation...the Welling Bridge sighting area is a favorite site for collegiate beach blanket activity....

The Barron Fork drainage basin is prime Sasquatch habitat...if I was a bigfoot in Oklahoma...I would live there....during the summer my extended family really does...."WOC"...has had numerous sightings over the decades....

Sighting tip...numero dos....watch the approaches to highway river bridges... very carefully...especially at dawn and dusk....

seeing is believing...

IMHO their idea is okay except when the species is discovered it will probably be given another nickname. Their mascot will then be out in the cold.

However, sports being competative by nature and agressive is somewhat contrary to what the species normally does when seen by people. They usually walk or run off.

If their teams are historically losers then maybe they choose the right mascot. Otherwise another choice of mascot is in order.
