My wife and I arrived at the Univerity of Texas at San Antonio’s Institute of Texan Cultures this morning. The staffers were very helpful and friendly. Craig and Marcy and Bob and Kathy Strain, along with her two children, soon showed up. As we were escorted to the exhibit we passed by the museum's bookstore. There, on prominent display, was a TBRC shirt and a stack of TBRC coffee mugs, along with a selection of sasquatch-related books for sale, just as shown in Craig's photo. I may buy one of the shirts.

The entrance to the exhibit takes you on a dark wandering path through the "Big Thicket" to the accompaniment of spooky night sounds. (Look carefully, or you may not spot an eight-foot tall resident of the woods.) When you enter the main part of the exhibit you'll see a wonderful variety of sasquatch-related evidence, including lots of casts, photos, Native American lore and artifacts, skulls, a neat video featuring Kathy Strain (Daryl and Gino of the TBRC are shown in it too), replicas of the Skookum body cast, and lots more.

Although there are still some ends to tie up (you should have seen Craig scribbling out his list), I think all of us felt like the museum staff did a really great job.

Nothing like this has ever been done. I highly recommend visiting this exhibit.

Oh yeah, I also got to visit with Peter Byrne. Now THAT was cool.
