I don't believe I have ever seen, or read any credible information to link the two phenomena. I would have to agree that one should avoid booking a Bigfoot Conference at the same time and place as a UFO Convention... and vice versa. What a blunder! I think it is just the sociologist in me. It just says so many things to me about the people repeating the stories and the cultural need as a whole to experience something "bigger" than oneself. In this case it's the all-too-familiar antagonism between various research factions. And Caesar Meadows is right, that sort of nit-picking on one another really is even more absurd than the idea of bigfoot and aliens going hand-in-limblike appendage.
