Also coming out this year is Switzerland’s take on the bigfoot phenomenon. In keeping with their historical neutrality, they present all sides of this controversial subject. It is due to hit European Film Festivals this summer. It is described as follows:

“A Swiss couple and their child go to the pacific Northwest to find out if a friend’s audio recording of Bigfoot is real. Along the way they meet with america’s top Sasquatch researchers: each presenting their cases for the existence of Sasquatch.”

You’re right. And it’s sad. Although it doesn’t have to be.

We’ve spent very little time on this site talking about what may be the biggest stumbling block in the pursuit of a documented species: internecine warfare among the searchers.

Maybe I need to spend some time on North American Bigfoot. Maybe there’s hope.

If the amateurs don’t cooperate amongst themselves…what’s the chance of their working with professionals? And vice versa?

All the research threads at North American Bigfoot Forum are available for review…the forum is comprised primarily of independent researchers and has very specific criteria for participation…if you have an axe to grind…go somewhere else and cut some firewood.

Most of the researchers have seen or had encounters with these wondrous creatures…we don’t debate their existence…we know they exist…we share our collective knowledge in a cooperative spirit.

An interesting subject…cyber tools and networking have taken amateur research to a new level of activity, intensity, investment and cooperation.

The North American Bigfoot forum is a great example of independent researchers sharing ideas and information in a cooperative manner…JMHO

A new mantra is emerging…”it’s about them…not us”…JMHO

The affordability of digital gadgets makes digital documentation inevitable…many independent researchers have personal investments of tens of thousands of dollars in gear and equipment.

One 8 hour period this week revealed 35 distinct screams/howls/vocalizations from a research area in the ArklaTexhoma region… screening and editing of that digital recording will take many hours of painstaking analysis.

United we prosper…divided we are little more than “bait”…the only thing stranger than Sasquatch…are the politics of Sasquatchery…JMHO

Has anyone heard from Rick Noll….lately?

Thanks for this Craig - it highlights an issue that grates with me quite a bit. How can these guys raise $160,000 to produce a film where they just go and interview people who have an interest in Bigfoot but researchers who want to get out there and study and collect evidence struggle to get funding.

It’s a mixed up world we live in.
