Here's some other reasons to mark March 26th-

Jeshua Ben Joseph (Jesus Christ) crucified, according to the oldest accounts, 33.
Sounds of explosions like that of cannons heard on the Isle of Melida in the Adriatic. They will be heard, sometimes 30, 40, or even several hundred times a day, until April 19, 1822.
Joseph Smith publishes The Book of Mormon, claiming to have derived it from golden plates written in "Reformed Egyptian" he had discovered with the aid of the angel Moroni. He claims to have translated them with the aid of "Urim and Thummim", 2 stones through which he had viewed the writings, 1830.
Dr. Lescarbault, an amateur astronomer, observes an unknown planet-sized object transit the Sun, which is soon dubbed Vulcan by Professor Urbain Leverrier, a mathematician whose calculations led him to suspect an intra-Mercurial planet, 1859.
Astronomers Hind and Denning observe an unknown planet-sized body transit the Sun, 1873.
Astronomer Williams observes nearly 1000 bright streaks and spots of light on the Moon in the area of Mare Crisium (Sea of Crisis). Indeed, the region seems "one mass of lights, streaks, and spots", 1882.
Mythologist Joseph Campbell born, 1904.
A bright light is seen on the moon near the crater Picard, 1909.
Actor/Director Leonard Nimoy born, 1931.
An elderly couple witnesses a ghost at the corner of Route 46 and Intervale Road in Parsippany, New Jersey, near the site where a haunted mansion once stood, 2000.

Happy Birthday Craig! May you have many more.

But, I see you have not answered the obvious and important question that comes to mind: Since Keel's book was the hook that got you involved in this field, when you were ten, at what age were you when you discovered you shared the same birthday?

Thank you Fuzzy for the MA books comment....

Now THERE'S a visual for ya ~
all those creatures out there on the dance floor, doin the Boogie!

I bought John Keel's book waaaay back in the early 70s... Chapter One's Title, "A World Filled With Ambling Nightmares", says it all, and I was hooked!

"They" say you can't judge a book by its cover, but Keel's Book and BOTH editions of Loren's "Mysterious America" were irresistable to me, as were many others of the genre.

Oh, and Happy Happy, Craig.

Actually, Julieann gave me the rights to the song. She wanted to record it for me, but studio time is so expensive. We did get video at the Conference last year. I need to check with Rick Noll about getting me a copy of the song on video.

Kind of interesting how often people who are interested in related fields or topics share a birthday. Might lend some credibility to horoscopes, etc. Of course, I hope that's not always the case, because I share a birthday with Saddam Hussein. Glad you got John Keel!

That song is great, though. We'll have to figure out a way to have it play on your fansite! Have to do it before she becomes really famous and charges out the wazoo for the rights!
