oh, man! I was all set to get excited and tout my hopes for the show…sigh…I’ll give it a shot down here in the U.S., but it sounds like another season of hoping we get to finally see Josh Gates drug off by one of the things he’s hunting…

Yeah I am from BC (Canada) as well and MacLeod has hit the nail on the head- Beast Legends is a group of people debating what a creature would, could or should look like trying to balance the wishes of some to go for a Mountain Dew Extreeeeeeeme gnarly version versus the others’ desires to see something more realistic.

Beast Legends is a waste of time in almost all regards except that it does put a cryptid on the tele for another one hour slot, and that is a good thing.

But if any of you enjoy researching cryptids with any iota of scientific method then steer clear… this will make you shudder with embarrassment and wish for a resurrection in the debates of a geocentric universe.

dude wanted to put spikes all over the kraken… /facepalm

I had high hopes for this show. I thought it was going to be like a combo of “Destination Truth” and “Monsterquest”, where they would be investigating cryptids that could really exist today, but if they’re just going to focus on animals that never existed, except in “Dungeons and Dragons”, what’s the point? I want real investigations of current cryptids that could actually exist, not some made up creature from some fantasy game for losers. “Monsterquest” had so many things they could have still done. It’s a shame that such a good, scientific show was scrapped and we get left with half-wit programs like “Beast Legends”.

Hi, thought i would chime in on this show. I live in BC Canada and this show has already aired up to and including the “Fire Dragon”. The show is not very good imo, there is very little gathering of evidence and lore and more a bunch of people sitting around a computer creating ridiculous CG renderings of what these creatures would look like, ending with a short movie of the “monster” creating havoc. They take parts and pieces of existing animals and combine them into what they think looks cool instead of taking a serious look at the cryptid and investigating. Just my 2 cents.

Can’t wait to see the Caddy video by the way, woooo!

History channel in Canada has been airing these already (the show is a joint venture with the Global network) and from what I have seen (the Kraken ep) this is like a very Boring version of “MonsterQuest” (that was not boring).
