Again, far away, almost impossible to discern any details. Not holding my breath, but you never know.

  2. chrisandclauida2 responds:

The one thing I like is no exaggerated patty walk and arm swing with the “look” at the end. Sasquatches, like people, come in many different shapes and sizes and as such all different kinds of strides and walks.

When I see a video with the long arm swing and look at the camera, I immediately discount it as a hoax. When I see a 6 foot 4 person with a cowboy hat walking like John Wayne I don’t think the duke has risen from the dead. Only one man walks like John Wayne just like only one sassy walks like our girl patty.

So while this isn’t automatically discounted with the markers of obvious hoaxes you still have a very pixel-ised film that shows a blobsquatch. Or in this instance would it be a skunkblob.

  3. Richard888 responds:

I have seen much better skunk ape videos on youtube. I have always assumed that you (Loren) have been aware of them so I haven’t bother to send tips about them. Unfortunately with this one the artifact is too far.

  4. dws responds:

    I CAN’T BREATHE ANYMORE!!!

  5. mrdark responds:

I’d like to see the original video footage, assuming that wasn’t on a camera phone and that’s the actual quality of the footage. Past that, it’s not even a blob-squatch, that’s too definite. It’s a pixel-squatch.

  6. cor2879 responds:

I always wonder though with these videos, why can’t said videographer ever seem to keep the camera steady? As small as video cameras have become these days it’s not that difficult.

  7. coelacanth1938 responds:

I dunno. These days when I see a Bigfoot video, I can’t help but wonder if it’s selling beef jerky or ice cream.

I want to believe, but if you can’t see the whites (or browns) of the subject’s eyes, why bother.

  8. Tobar responds:

Wow that sucker is heavily artifact ridden.

  9. brainsandgravy responds:

    That proves it!

  10. kamoeba responds:

Yet another YouTube pixelated piece of phony trash. We’re to believe the filmer has the good fortune to have a video camera with him in the middle of the woods and in a one-in-a-million circumstance captures footage of the elusive Skunk Ape? That would be nice to believe, but
    1) the filmer stands in one spot as the subject walks away,
    2) the filmer suffers from the strange malady that plagues every person who’s filming cryptids: Shaky Camera Syndrome,
    3) the filmer doesn’t bother to try to film the footprints or gather other evidence.

    Pass.

  11. bigfoot11 responds:

    it is a hoax

  12. elsanto responds:

I agree with ChrisandClaudia2 that there are some interesting aspects to this footage. What makes me think, “Hoax!” however, is the fact that the person who shot this footage had a beautiful opportunity to keep shooting… wide, open space… subject walking across that space and not heading for the trees… and the footage cuts out after a few seconds, puh-LEASE!

    Next.

    Just my two cents.

  13. bill green responds:

hey craig & everyone this is a very interesting new alabama sasquatch filmfootage but more research study etc needs to be done to it. good morning bill green :) i watched this new footage 2 times already still very interesting.

  14. SoulTim responds:

I’ve never posted here before, so I’m probably going to get in trouble for this, but is it usual for people to just post one word statements like “HOAX” without at least making a case for it? I never personally believed in Bigfoot, but then I used to make fun of people for thinking wallabies lived in england, too. I was demonstrably wrong about that.

This is a shaky piece of film, and it’s hard to draw conclusions about it. That doesn’t make it fake. Amateur video is usually shaky, and it’s not uncommon for people not to know how to work the zoom or other functions. Theres no story accompanying it, so we have no idea if they have a valid reason for having a video camera out in the middle of nowhere. Maybe YOU all would have the guts to go poking around near where it walked, but a lot of people would have gotten out of there as quickly as possible out of fear of the unknown.

I just can’t help but wonder if the presumption of a hoax would prevent people from coming forward with evidence for something like this. Screaming “HOAX” won’t discourage hoaxsters, they know their fakers and they expect to get caught. It’s just going to discourage honest people who think they saw or filmed something, but who won’t take the chance on coming forward. What if they’re wrong, and people assume they were deliberately lying? What if they’re right and people still don’t believe them?

  15. Cryptonut responds:

One of the first things to ask is what other footage do you have? In other words, is this clip it (meaning that it was made for youtube), or is there more footage of whatever was going on before and after the alleged sighting. If there isn’t any other associated footage you immediately have you answer without any other inquiries.

  16. YourPTR! responds:

Looks pretty suspect to me. Walk appears human. I’d say a hoax.

  17. cmgrace responds:

I couldn’t see much. That could have been anything. Or anyone in a costume.

  18. richcap responds:

I think I may have seen a “Frame 352″ in there…the ole turn to the camera bit. Sadly, this is no P-G film.

    Pass.

  19. Savage30L responds:

To me, too, the walk appears human. I don’t put much credence in this one.

  20. ddh1969 responds:

Gee…I couldn’t get any closer or get any more footage.

    Don’t bother.

  21. Mothmanfan responds:

Like elsanto said, there was no trees, the “skunk ape” wasn’t trying to hide, ect. i mean, unless it fell in a hole or whatever, you would think that someone would try to get more. Unless the battery died at that exact second or something.

  22. Bob Michaels responds:

It has to be a Skunk Ape, the video smells.

  23. mystery_man responds:

It’s hard to say what it is, and because of that, I’d have to say this one is just inconclusive. One thing I disagree with is the assumptions people seem to be making about walks and gaits. It is probably true that we can probably expect sasquatch to have different walks just as people do but there could also be some similarity in movement as well. If, for example, the PG footage is real, who is to say that some sasquatch might not display a similar type of movement to what is depicted in the footage? I don’t agree as one poster said, that we should discount any video as a hoax just because it displays a similar walk to the subject of the PG footage. If that video is real, then it could provide a clue as to how some of these creatures move, so why is moving like Patty tantamount to a hoax? I do not understand that line of reasoning. Wouldn’t footage of an unknown animal give clues to how it might move rather than reasons to dismiss additional footage because the subject moves in a similar way? Of course, the PG footage may be fake and some hoaxers may try to copy it, but for now I think that any similarity in movement is a reason to scream hoax in and of itself.

In the end, we don’t really have a good idea of how exactly a sasquatch moves The subject of one solid piece of footage we do have (PG) is being used to cry hoax for anything that moves like it. I am curious to know how some could make opinions on whether something is a hoax or not based on how a sasquatch walks when there is no known standard by which to judge. A lot of the judgments we make on the gaits of these creatures seem to be made on gut feeling, however I feel this is not the most scientific way to go about discounting a video. Are we really that sure about how a sasquatch moves at this point in time to use the gait as a basis of discrediting a video? I don’t think we are. There is not enough data to make such assumptions, in my opinion.
