The atomizer, if used right, should produce small enough droplets not to disturb fine details in most tracks... but in some, this technique is probably impossible to use. If for instance you were thinking of a fine thin layered-powder covered hard packed dirt road... forget it.

I wouldn't experiment with this technique except after you got the best of the best secured in a tried and true fashion (cast the best tracks, showing a left and a right, and one showing detail movement).

If there were hair in the track, photography is the first task and then as Brian brought up... removal.

I imagine this method best for a loose, airy soil type of track. One where the resin can soak in to it a good depth... getting beneath it actually.

This method of casting would actually be the track itself so all details should show up. It would be solid , a clear coat over the track ,so hair would need to be pulled first before spraying the track. I think this method of casting would be more beneficial in the study of sasquatch tracks.

Question, what about fine details such as dermals etc? Would this mixture damage or degrade this evidence. And if any of these items are toxic, would it cause problems with any hair samples that may be contained within the track itself?

Thanks
