You know, in all fairness to my car it was really a pretty cherry 1958 sea green Rambler station wagon that didn't have a dent inside or out. The paint still glowed and people would offer to buy it all the time. True, it had some problems that have been detailed in this and other early investigation stories that this worthy beast transported us to (eventually). It had a front end problem that, after hitting the smallest bump in the road, left the car all but uncontrollable until you slammed on the brakes thus re-aligning the front wheels and, also true, you could only fill the tank halfway due to human folly that Rick has documented elsewhere.

It was all for the sake of being willing to do almost anything to help solve a mystery that captivated us.

I just thought I'd chime in...

Cheers.

Ha! Reading this brought back memories of my best friend and my hunting/fishing trips. Usually spur of the moment, old vehicle and equipment, and me praying we don't run out of gas! Thanks Rick.
